Between April 26th 2007 and April 26th 2017, the Hippocratic Vigil was held outside the WHO headquarters in Geneva, making a total of 522 weeks without interruption. The vigil consisted of a silent presence that aimed to remind the World Health Organization of its obligations as set out in its constitution. We added the name of Hippocrates to our description because of the ethical rules he instituted for health practitioners.
