Accommodation in Geneva and the surrounding area

First, here is the link for the Geneva Tourist Information Office with details of accommodation in the city, but the hotels are generally very expensive and are almost fully booked for 11th and 12th May.

Auberge de jeunesse de Genève (Geneva Youth Hostel)

Good location, close to the railway station, the lake and to buses travelling to the Ecumenical Centre where the Forum is taking place.

As of 19th April, for the nights of 11/12 and 12/13, only dormitory accommodation is available at 38.00 Swiss francs per night or 31.65 € (for non-members).

Breakfast is included, as is a free bus pass.

On the outskirts of Geneva, with views of open countryside and well placed, only a 20 minute walk from the Ecumenical Centre where the Forum is taking place.

As of 19th April, there were about a dozen rooms available, with shower and toilet, for the nights of 11/12 and 12/13, with breakfast included, at 107 Swiss francs per night or 90 €.

Hotels in France

There are a number of hotels in Ferney-Voltaire, a town that is well placed for getting to the Forum, since it is only 5km from the Ecumenical Centre.

For those who do not have a car, some of the hotels are very close to the ‘F’ Bus route which then stops near the Ecumenical Centre.
